Ethix Tablet uses

Ethix Tablet is a B-vitamin food supplement. Each tablet gives three B-vitamins in their active forms: L-methylfolate calcium 1 mg, vitamin B6 as pyridoxal 5′-phosphate 35 mg and vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin 2 mg. It is used as a source of folate, vitamin B6 and vitamin B12, as directed by a doctor.

The pack states that Ethix is a food supplement / nutraceutical and is not for the treatment of any disease. Your doctor decides whether you need it and how to take it.

What each ingredient is

• L-methylfolate is the active form of folate. According to the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), the body needs folate to make DNA and other genetic material, and for cells to divide. Read: L-methylfolate vs folic acid.
• Pyridoxal 5′-phosphate (P5P) is the active form of vitamin B6. The NIH notes the body needs vitamin B6 for more than 100 enzyme reactions involved in metabolism.
• Methylcobalamin is a form of vitamin B12. The NIH says vitamin B12 helps keep the body’s blood and nerve cells healthy and helps make DNA.
